Why don’t you paint flowers?
Private View: 10th December 6-9pm
Open Daily: 11th-14th December 12-6pm

An exhibition of paintings, collages,
site specific sculptures and slide installation.

The title of the show is intended as a playful joke about some people’s frustration with understanding contemporary art and their hope for a more traditional subject matter.

The artists answer the question posed by the title, by giving exactly what is asked for – a more traditional subject matter, such as flowers, landscapes and everyday objects. But despite offering the audience more conventional images, the works speak in a contemporary language and retain their own conceptual meaning.

Works by: Antonella Ferrari, Silvia Forese, Ellie Geary, Joana Roberto, Angela Wright.
